How to Tackle Stress, 6 November 2024 + 24 January 2025

How to Tackle Stress

Tackling stress in a meaningful way is a 2-half-day course which provides insights into understanding and managing stress in the context of an academic environment. The course is designed to help you navigate challenges, such as academic pressure, isolation and maintaining one’s work-life balance, which are common stressors in a PhD journey.

The course is offered by Voluntās.

 The course covers

  • Understanding stress: What it is and what it isn't
  • Recognising early signs of stress: How to identify and address stress in yourself and your colleagues
  • The consequences of prolonged stress: How to maintain a healthy balance
  • Building resilience: Practical strategies to strengthen your capacity to cope with stress

The course is part of the new introduction course developed by PAC and the CBS PhD School targeted specifically for incoming PhD students. This initiative aims to strengthen the PhD community and to foster networking across CBS, while also addressing concerns raised in the recent PhD improvement notice from the Danish Working Environment Authority.

As we believe all PhD students can benefit from the this course, we are pleased to offer the course to all PhD students, regardless of their enrolment date.
